Grand Opening is October 16th

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Outlets of Little Rock will open its doors in a week and more than 100 workers were on site Thursday making sure it is ready.

“There’s a lot of madness happening,” said Melissa Boyle, the marketing director for the outlets. “It’s organized chaos, signage going up, merchandise coming in and paint going on the walls.”

A ribbon cutting Oct. 16 at 9:30 a.m. will officially open the outlets to shoppers. The public can also enjoy live entertainment, food and giveaways, including a car.

“You’ll be able to see it’s very park-like inside,” Boyle said. “We’ll have soft seating and Adirondack chairs. We’ll have a lot of landscaping on the interior. So it’s shopping but it’s also a destination just to come and hang out.”

If people want to start shopping one day early, they can buy tickets on the outlet website for the “Open Doors, Open Hearts” charity preview night Oct. 15. Stores will be open with live entertainment, food trucks and more. All of the proceeds will benefit 20 Arkansas charities.

Boyle said families can really make a weekend of it. There is a fashion show Oct. 17 and Kid’s Day on Oct. 18. She said there will be kid-friendly entertainment, giveaways and plenty of princesses and superheroes on site.
